នាគក្នុងផ្នត់គំនិតខ្មែរ || Naga in Khmer's thought

 

- សំណង់ស្ថាបត្យកម្មនៃការសាងសង់ រូបនាគ របស់ដូនតាខ្មែរតាំងពីដើមរាងមក ច្រើនសង់ចំនួនក្បាល ជាលេខសេស ១ ៣ ៥ ៧ ៩ ដោយពុំយកចំនួនគូ នោះទេព្រោះ គូ = គត់ = សូន្យ = សេចក្តីស្លាប់ រីឯ ចំនួនលេខ សេស គឺ តំណាងអោយ សេចក្តីមិនចេះស្លាប់ ។ និងចំនួនសេស ទៀតសោតសុទ្ធតែមាន ន័យរាងៗខ្លួន តួយ៉ាងដូចជា ៖
• នាគក្បាល ១ ជាទូទៅយើងច្រើនប្រទះឃើញក្នុង សំណង់សម័យថ្មី ដែលគ្មានឈ្មោះពិតប្រាកដ
• នាគក្បាល ៣ នាគកល្បៈ ( ឯកសារខ្លះ នាគកល្យៈ ) គឺជានាគកំណាច
• នាគក្បាល ៥ នាគអនន្ត ( យានជំនិះ របស់ព្រះភិរុណ)
• នាគក្បាល ៧ នាគមុជ្ជលិន ( មានតំណាលក្នុងពុទ្ធប្រវិត្ត )
• នាគក្បាល ៩ នាគវ៉ាសុគិ ឬ ពាសស្រកី ឬ សេសៈ ( មានតំណាលក្នុងរឿង កូរសមុទ្រទឹកដោះ ) ។

- The rule of how to made Naga statue in Khmer's thought since the past till nowadays our ancestors had their reasons and never build Naga with the couple number of its head , because they thought that couple number is represented as " Death " and for odd number as 1,3,5,7,and 9 is represented as " The never end life " All of that odd number also had their meaning:
• Naga with 1 head is the new style in Khmer architecture and don't have actually name.
• Naga with 3 heads Kolaba Naga ( or Kolya Naga ) is the cruelest Naga.
• Naga with 5 heads is Annanta Naga ( the ride of Piruna )
• Naga with 7 heads is Mechalin ( Protected Buddha from rain in Buddha's story)
• Naga with 9 heads is Wasoki or Peas Srokei or Sesak ( in The Churning of ocean milk story)
