តួនាទីរបស់ទ្វារទាំងបួនទិសនៃព្រះបរមរាជវាំង នាពេលអតីតកាល || The function of the four gates of the Cambodian Royal Palace in the past

 

១ . ទ្វារខាងកើត ( ទ្វារជ័យ )សម្រាប់ភ្ញៀវអន្តរជាតិ មន្រ្តីជាន់ខ្ពស់ និងព្រះមហាក្សត្រយាងចេញចូល ។
២ . ទ្វារខាងត្បូង សម្រាប់ស្រីស្នំបរិពារ ឬ នាមុឺនសព្វមុខមន្រ្តីចេញ ចូលបង្គំគល់ព្រះមហាក្សត្រ ។
៣ . ទ្វារខាងលិច សម្រាប់យកអ្នកទោសទៅប្រហារជីវិត ។
៤ . ទ្វារខាងជើង សម្រាប់ខ្មោច ទ្វារនេះគេពុំអនុញ្ញាតអោយបើក គ្រប់ពេលវេលានោះទេ គឺអនុញ្ញាតអោយបើកតែនៅពេលណាដែលព្រះមហាក្សត្រស្តេចចូលទីវង្គត់តែប៉ុណ្ណោះ ដើម្បីហែរព្រះសពទៅធ្វើព្រះរាជពិធី ឈាបនកិច្ច នៅឯវាលព្រះមេរុ ។
ប៉ុន្តែលុះសម័យក្រោយមកទ្វារនេះត្រូវបានបិទរហូត ទោះបីព្រះមហាក្សត្រសុគត ក៏ដោយគឺគេយកទ្វារ ខាងកើត ( ទ្វារជ័យ ) ជំនួសវិញ ព្រោះទ្វារនោះធំទូលាយ ងាយ បុស្បុកព្រះម្ឈូសាហែចេញ ។

1. East Gate ( Victory Gate ) used for King ,Queen , The High rank of Khmer governors , and all High rank of international guests .
2. South Gate used for Low rank governors and their spouses .
3. West Gate used for take prisoners to the killing field .
4. North Gate ( Ghost Gate ) they rarely to open this gate , but it will open when the King passed away for take the Royal corpse to cremation in the Meru field ( Veal Man ).
But nowadays this gate is not allow to open anymore even though The King passed way by their used the East Gate to instead of it , because it is bigger than the North.
