គងវង់ ឬ គងខ្មែរ || Gong Wong or Khmer Gong ( Xylophone )

 

គងខ្មែរមាន ២ ប្រភេទ ៖
១ . គងតូច
២ . គងធំ
ប្រភេទគងខ្មែរទាំង ២ នេះ មានសណ្ឋានរាងរៅ និង សំនៀង ១៦ ដូចគ្នា ខុសត្រង់តែរង្វង់ និង ទំហំផ្លែសំនៀង តូច ឬ ធំ ។ តាមបន្ទូលរបស់សម្តេចព្រះសង្ឃរាជ ជួន ណាត នាឆ្នាំ ១៩៦៥ ថា " គងខ្មែរទាំង ២ ប្រភេទនេះបំបែកខ្លួនចេញពី គងពាក់កណ្តាលវង់ ដែលមានផ្លែសំនៀង ៨ និង ៩ នាចន្លោះសតវត្សទី ៩ និងទី ១២ រីឯគង់ពាក់កណ្តាលវង់ខ្មែរមានតាំងពី សម័យមុនអង្គរមកម៉្លេះ ។

Khmer Gong has two types :
1. Gong touch ( Small Gong )
2. Gong thom ( Big Gong )
These both of Gong Khmer has the same looks , has the same 16 brass gongs , but they have different size . One small and one big . According to the speech of Samdach Songka Reach Choun Nat said that " These both Gongs was copied from the Khmer half Gong which had 8 and 9 brasses between 9th to 12th century and for the half Khmer Gong we had since Pre- Angkor era.
